Today we employ over 1000 people worldwide, and we will continue to expand our employee base as we mobilize new seismic crews around the world.  Global employees have hundreds of years of cumulative experience working seismic operations in over 60 countries and in almost every major hydrocarbon basin

Global offers high density, Reservoir Grade 3D (RG3D®) seismic solutions for exploration and reservoir management.  

  • RG3D® products offer increased spatial resolution and improved signal-to-noise ratio for enhanced imaging of geologic structures.
  • A survey acquired with RG3D® technology offers source and receiver density disproportionately greater than the incremental cost over a conventional 3D survey.
  • Global’s geophysicists are also experts in crew operations, project management and logistics, thereby optimizing survey efficiency and crew productivity.


  • Since launching the first crew in May 2005, Global has purchased over
    94,000 channels of Sercel 428XL, 408UL and 408ULS recording gear.
  • Global's fleet of 87 new ION Geophysical AHV-IV vibrators includes seventy 62,000-pound units and seventeen 80,000-pound buggies.
  • Global uses leading edge technology with proven effectiveness to deliver
    high density seismic surveys.
    • Implemented the first ever HFVS (High Fidelity Vibratory Seismic) survey
      using Sercel 428XL electronics
    • Selected by ION and BP for the first commercial implementation of ION’s
      new FireFly™ cableless recording system
    • Completed the first commercial implementation of the Ascend Geo Ultra™ cableless recording system
    • Integrated the XLR8 Weight Drop with the Morooka carrier, creating a very mobile, reliable, high energy output source package
