Global Geophysical is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Murrin to the position of Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. For 20 years, Craig has held a variety of senior level positions in the oil and gas industry and brings with him superior legal and managerial expertise.
Richard Degner, President of Global Geophysical, comments on Craig’s arrival at Global. “We are very pleased to have Craig join us. Craig and I worked closely together in building PGS Onshore.” Degner states further, “Craig also worked with us at Western Atlas as counsel for the E&P Services division and earlier for Core Lab; I don’t know of another single lawyer that has the breadth of knowledge that Craig has in the areas of contract law, corporate governance, corporate compliance including FCPA, export control and U.S. sanctions, finance law, and international law. He has been involved in the formation of E&P and oil-service joint-ventures in many countries, and will be instrumental in helping Global enter foreign markets. He has recently helped us get our equipment financing and line of credit in place. He is currently working with me and our CFO on our private equity placement, and he is getting master-service agreements in place with all our customers.”
Craig received his Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School in Palo Alto, California in 1979 and received his B.A., Summa Cum Laude from Cornell College, Mt. Vernon, Iowa in 1976. He has been a member of the State Bar of Texas for 25 years.
