We are pleased to announce that Jerry Dresner has joined Global Geophysical as Vice President of Finance. Jerry has over twenty seven years of financial management experience in an international operating environment. With his broad range of skills and experience within Sarbanes Oxley, internal and external audit, and US and International Tax, Jerry is ideally suited to lead the Finance and Accounting group as Global expands our worldwide operations. Jerry’s initial responsibles will be focused on financial reporting and controls.
Jerry started his career in 1980 working in the fixed asset department of Dresser Industries’ corporate division based in Houston, Texas. In 1987 Dresser sold its Wireline interest to Litton Industries, which later spun off and became Western Atlas International Inc. (Western Atlas) where Jerry worked as accounting manager, gaining experience in several different operating divisions within the company. In 1993 he moved to London England and served as the Area Controller for Western Geophysical. In 1998 Western Atlas was sold to Baker Hughes, and Jerry stayed on as Assistant Controller. In late 2000, Baker Hughes and Schlumberger formed WesternGeco; at that time, Jerry was promoted to Controller with responsibility for North America, Canada & Mexico.

Jerry received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University with a major in Finance.
