December 12, 2006: Duncan Riley appointed to Vice President - Worldwide Marine for Global Geophysical Services, Inc.

Duncan Riley has been appointed to Vice President - Worldwide Marine for Global Geophysical Services, Inc. In his new position, Duncan becomes the third of Global's primary product line officers, alongside Kirk Girouard, VP - Land Operations, Western Hemisphere and Maurice Flynn, VP - Land Operations, Eastern Hemisphere. While the management of Global's land crews is divided between the eastern and western hemispheres, the shallow marine/transition zone crews will be managed as one team, on a global basis, under Duncan's leadership.

Duncan is a geophysical engineer from Colorado School of Mines and also has a master's degree (MBA) from Rice University. He began his career with Western Geophysical over 20 years ago working as a young manager on seismic crews. Duncan has held international positions in Argentina, Gabon, Mexico, Nigeria and Trinidad. He held a number of senior management roles within Western Geophysical, including General Manager Applied Technology, General Manager Western Hemisphere Marine, and General Manager of Marketing Research & Strategic Planning. While with Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements, he served as the assistant Marketing Manager for their worldwide MWD, LWD, Directional Drilling and Drill Bits business. Following the joint venture between Schlumberger and Baker Hughes, Duncan directed the associated US Department of Justice review process and upon creation of the JV was named Area Manager for WesternGeco's North and South America business unit.

Duncan was a founding member of Global in 2004; he left the company to work as a consultant on M&A projects while he completed his MBA, and then returned to Global in April of 2006 as Vice President of Business Administration. In the past eight months, he has designed and implemented numerous systems that are becoming instrumental to add business efficiency and cut administrative costs. Heidi Brown, Global's Director of Finance and Compliance, has spearheaded many of those efforts, and she will assume Duncan's administrative responsibilities.

Global's worldwide marine seismic acquisition business will continue to be run by Larry Doudna, Operations Manager, and Curt Schneider, Sales and Marketing Manager, who will now both report directly to Duncan.
