Global Geophysical is committed to HSE excellence, and we are pleased to have former colleague and industry veteran John Barrett join us as HSE Manager.
John is a native of New Zealand and has over 30 years of international experience in seismic operations and health, safety, and environment compliance. John joined Western Geophysical in 1975 and performed field operations in the Middle East, Latin America, China and India. John transitioned into his role as HSE Manager for Latin America operations, implementing, maintaining and proactively improving Western’s HSE program. He then served as Operations Manager of Mexico Land and Transition Zone operations for WesternGeco (Schlumberger). Most recently, John was the Health and Safety Manager for TBC Corporation in New Zealand.
“We are truly excited about John joining the Global team,” states Richard Degner. “I have worked with John in the past and have always admired his work ethic, his enthusiasm for the job at hand and his ability to see both the details and the big picture (the forest and the trees).
John’s managerial experience combined with his extensive HSE background makes him uniquely qualified for such an important role in our company.” John recently has obtained a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Distinction Pass) from Massey University in New Zealand.
John will report to Jeff Howell, VP of Health, Safety and Environment, and will be responsible for assisting line management and HSE officers in implementing Global’s HSE Management System worldwide.
