January, 2010.  Ray L. Mays Appointed Vice President, US Land Operations

 

Global Geophysical Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Ray L. Mays as Vice President, US Land Operations. 

Ray Mays joined Global in January, 2010, bringing with him over thirty years of experience in the seismic industry.  Mr. Mays began his career with eleven years at Mobil Oil, first as a  Survey Crew Chief and then as a Senior Field Agent.  Upon leaving Mobil, he built his own company that specialized in providing permitting services for the oil and gas industry.  Mr. Mays then went on to spend the next few years at Halliburton in Marketing and 3D design, and then Grant Geophysical Services.  Prior to joining Global, Mr. Mays has spent his last thirteen years with CGGVeritas, a geophysical services company.  He held positions most recently as Senior Vice President of Western Hemisphere Land and US Land Operations.  Prior to becoming Senior Vice President, he served as Corporate Director of Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Security, and as Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment for Land Operations. 

Mr. Mays holds an Associate’s Degree in Land Surveys.  Mr. Mays is a member of International Association of Geophysical Contractors (IAGC), the Society of Exploration Geophysicist (SEG) and the Geophysical Society of Houston (GSH).
