Global Geophysical is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran, Robin Guscette, to the position of Operations Manager of Africa, Middle East and South Central Asia. Robin has 23 years of operational experience managing field crews in a variety of environments including Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia and Alaska.
During his career at Western Geophysical and WesternGeco, Robin held operations management positions including Land O perations Supervisor and Field Crew Manager. He started his seismic career as a Mechanic and Vibrator Technician in Alaska before moving in the mid 80’s to Tunisia.
Degner commented on Guscette’s arrival, “Over the last 20 years, Robin has operated some of the most challenging operations in the world for industry leader Western Geophysical ….he is very qualified to manage the mechanical intensive seismic operations of the Middle East and North Africa, and is especially accomplished in the remote desert and big dunes. Robin successfully managed operations in Pakistan throughout the Afghanistan war and has been involved with some of the most highly productive and financially successful operations in EAME. We are delighted to have him and we fully expect that Robin will establish Global as a prominent seismic field crew operator in the region.” |
