Houston, June 6, 2008.  Global Geophysical Services, Inc. has purchased the business assets of Weinman GeoScience, Inc., a recognized leader in seismic data processing, analysis, and reservoir characterization services both in the US and abroad.

Weinman GeoScience has served the oil and gas exploration and production industry for 25 years providing exceptional products and services. In particular, Weinman is an expert provider of azimuthal processing solutions for enhanced imaging and for fracture prediction, a technology that is becoming increasingly important to oil and gas exploration and production activities.

Global will of course retain the Weinman brand, operating the group as a division of its fast-growing seismic data acquisition services company.  Weinman’s data processing and interpretation expertise complements Global’s state-of-the-art seismic data acquisition services and multiclient data library program, allowing Global to provide fully-integrated “reservoir grade” seismic solutions.

Under the Global umbrella, Weinman has begun expanding its current computer centers in Dallas, Denver, and Houston - speeding depth and time imaging results across large Linux Cluster towers. Personnel of the Weinman division currently share Global’s office in Mumbai and are conducting joint operations with other Global colleagues in Africa, Asia, and the US.
